Jerson’s Story

My name is Jerson, and my journey in the restaurant industry began when I first moved to Regina from the Philippines. While attending school, I worked at Tim Hortons, where I was introduced to the fast paced world of food service and guest experience. Over three years, that role helped shape my work ethic and taught me the importance of teamwork, consistency, and pride in what you do.

After moving to Winnipeg, I was eager to find my way back into Tim Hortons. When I was introduced to Jur Family Group, my initial goal was to continue with the Tim Hortons brand. However, Firehouse Subs presented a new opportunity and a new challenge. I decided to take a chance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. Firehouse quickly became more than just a job. It became a place where I could grow, learn, and build a long term career.

I began my Firehouse journey as a Team Member, but the brand and leadership team provided me with opportunities to develop far beyond that role. Through hands on coaching and continuous learning, I progressed through Team Leader and Supervisor positions while preparing for restaurant management.

As a manager, I take pride in building strong relationships with my team, creating an environment where we can work hard and have fun, and always looking for new ways to learn and improve every single day.
